RSO - Phi Mu Alpha-Sigma Alpha

Phi Mu Alpha is a national music fraternity established in 1898 with the goal of advancing music in America while promoting brotherhood with musical students. Since 2010, the Sigma Alpha chapter at UMass, has conducted fundraisers, charity events and outreach projects in the Amherst area with the express purpose of philanthropy through music. We are a close-knit brotherhood of varying music-related and unrelated majors, all devoted to promoting music in all forms. Along with philanthropy, our chapter hosts several recitals each year, with performances by brothers in a variety of ensembles with a diverse set list. By these ways and others, our chapter strives to enrich our community through music in our ties to the UMMB and the University as a whole.
