RSO - Synapse UMass

Synapse UMass is a chapter of Synapse National, an organization with chapters at over 20 colleges across the country. We have established a strong network of university students and educators who are committed to engaging with the often underserved TBI community. Our mission is to provide social support for individuals with brain injuries, educate local community members, and cultivate a compassionate student body. Our mission is built on three pillars: the Educational Program, the Peer Support Program, and the Buddy Program. Through the Education Program, students will get the opportunity to hear from physicians, academics, and other professionals in the brain injury field. In turn, the Peer Support Program and Buddy Programs are aimed to foster meaningful relationships between students and individuals with acquired brain injuries.
