RSO - Thai Student Association (ThaiSA)

The University of Massachusetts–Amherst Thai Student Association (ThaiSA) is a non-exclusive organization aiming to create a close-knit community of Thai students, Thai-American students, and students who are interested in Thai culture. The mission of the Thai Student Association is to unite individuals who share an interest in Thailand, Thai culture, and tradition. In addition, we strive to provide a supportive atmosphere to incoming Thai and Thai-American students transitioning to the University of Massachusetts–Amherst by organizing events and activities that celebrate Thai culture, raise awareness on Thai-related issues and topics, and provide resources for those interested in learning more about Thailand. We aim to continue alumni connections as well as connections to other cultural organizations on campus to foster an inclusive environment that welcomes all individuals from all backgrounds and experiences as well as encourage intercultural conversation.

We believe in creating long-lasting connections within and outside of the organization. Our beliefs directly connect to the importance of culture in our lives and how it can encourage us to connect and converse with our peers and community in order to learn and grow. Our progress is guided by our motivation to encourage cross-cultural dialogue, collaboration within the community, and creating a strong and long-lasting legacy preserving Thai culture at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst.
